About us:

Newtrace is a climate tech startup enabling the wide scale adoption of green hydrogen to help fight climate change.

We aim to achieve this by redesigning electrolyzers from first principles to make them 5x cheaper than current commercial systems while improving the performance and efficiency.

  • What you'll be doing everyday:
  • Participate in the review and negotiation of a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, including but not limited to, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, product supply agreements, licensing agreements, manufacturing agreements, and amendment agreements.
  • Understand queries from business teams and suggest legally compliant solutions.
  • Work on standardizing templates and on various policies of the company.
  • Research and analyze laws, regulations, and rules to assess applicability and impact on the business.
  • Handle the broad spectrum of daytoday legal affairs of the business.
  • Manage privacy policy, information and security compliance for the company.
  • Deal with external parties (regulators, external counsel, tax advisor, investors) and assisting the company in compliance.
  • Liaising closely with business owners and other legal departments.
  • Negotiations with customers and/or suppliers.
  • Trademark, patent registrations, property registrations, documents due diligence for property purchase etc.
  • Creating risk management and legal awareness.
  • Ensuring a wellgoverned and diligent contracting process from start to finish.

Requirements:


  • What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in working with inhouse teams or law firms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong drive and commitment to deliver results.
  • Detailoriented and proactive.
  • Experience in Legal Compliance and Drafting & Negotiating agreements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases.

  • Salary: Matching industry standards.
  • You will receive customary holidays in India (approximately 12 holidays per year) and 15 days of paid vacation per year accrued monthly. We will have a 5day, 8 hour/day work week (Mon-Fri) with flexible work timings (within reason).
