Roles & Responsibilities:
- The role of an infection control nurse is to determine, prevent, and contain infectious in the healthcare setting. Even in a sterile and sanitary environment, an infection can easily spread causing patients to become ill and possibly die. In order to prevent the spread of this infection to a large area, it is the job of an infection control nurse to not only contain these agents within a hospital community but also to prevent such illnesses on a larger scale. Monitor and implement infection control practices in the hospital premises including staff.
- To ensure safety compliance & suggest measures to reduce cost as a result of reinfections in respective wards, ICU's etc.
- Identify new opportunities to improve service and resolve infection control problems.
- Direct and assist in preparing reports and statistical data for infection control committee, medical staff committees, facility's administration and other committees as needed.
- Conduct rounds, discuss and monitor infection control practices with staff.
- Collect infection data from departments, maintaining records for each case. (Hand hygiene Audits, OT surveillance, NICU,PICU)
- Investigate incidents of infection and report such incidents to the Medical Director / Nursing head.
- Ensure availability of supplies required for infection control.
- Conducting infection control committee meeting and formulating agenda and minutes of meeting.
- Collecting data on infection rates related to VAE, CAUTI, CLASBI, SSI.
- Monitoring general cleanliness, bedside cleanliness, biomedical waste management in wards and ICCUs, equipment and instrument cleanliness.
- Participate in infection prevention/control and hygiene audits.
- Managing and monitoring of housekeeping activities.
- Ensure vaccination of hospital staff Sp nursing & housekeeping ICN should monitor and document, report the HAI to infection control officer and also take appropriate action to prevent and control HAI in patients also analyze the data on quaternary basis.
- Monitoring of nursing measures related to isolation/ barrier precautions.
Job Specifications:
- Minimum Qualifications : GNM/B.Sc. Nursing recognized by INC / TSNC
- Minimum 1 year experience as ICN.
- Ability to converse in local language, Hindi and English

₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
