LG Multi speciality medical centre, Sulur, Coimbatore is a 40 bedded healthcare entity providing general and multi speciality services including emergency and intensive care facility.


CEO's Responsibilities


The CEO will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and development of LG Multi speciality medical centre in align with Vision, Mission and Values of the organization.

CEO will report directly to the board of Trustees.

In general, the CEO assumes line responsibility and authority for the administrative direction, evaluation, and coordination of the functions and activities of assigned departments within the hospital, ensuring that operational objectives and results are in accord with the hospital's overall needs, goals and values.

The CEO provides administrative direction for operations of assigned departments and appraises the performance of the respective department's heads. Communicates routinely concerning policy recommendations and suggested courses of action pertinent to the efficient operation of assigned departments.

Implements new policies; disseminates pertinent information following administrative directives; and recommends improvement of hospital facilities in assigned areas including purchase of new equipment.


Promotes complete involvement of the department's heads in the preparation of the department's budgets and educates them in the importance of the budget, forecasting and planning process.

Makes recommendations to the board of trustees concerning budget, cost, and financial matters and encourages and assists department heads in establishing a measure of performance, increased productivity, quality improvement, cost controls, and maximum utilization of facilities.

Recommends the board of trustees where executive action is necessary to accomplish these goals and plans the activities of the individual departments in relation to other hospital departments so as to obtain a better understanding of each other's problems.

Represents the hospital by membership in related professional associations.


CEO responsibilities include:

Medical staff relations. Maintains effective and collaborative relationships with the medical staff that inspire loyalty, ensures the ability to meet the health needs of the community and advances quality, patient safety and patient satisfaction

Operational management. Maintains an organized system of management and controls that ensure smooth function of hospital operations, timely accomplishment of goals, and physical, financial and human resource viability and success

Quality of services. Ensures best practice, evidence-based approaches to consistently deliver exceptional, well-coordinated and integrated care that delivers high level outcomes and patient satisfaction

Fundraising and Communication. Act as lead ambassador for the organization, build relationships with stakeholders and supporters and explore and develop all appropriate avenues to increase income generation

Strategic planning. Develops, implements and executes operational plans that ensure timely strategic goal achievement

Partnerships and negotiations. Develops strategic partnerships and ensures skillful negotiations that help to position the organization for success

Financial performance. Utilizes financial and analytical skills to lead, monitor and take actions that ensure the hospital's financial stability and long-term success

Community relations. Fosters strong community relations and develops collaborative partnerships that advance the interests of the organization and contribute to the health and well-being of the community/communities served

Board relations. Manages the functions of the hospital in accordance with the direction set by the board of trustees. Informs and advises the board of trustees on matters that influence and impact hospital performance

Human resources. Provides leadership that aligns and challenges the workforce, inspires loyalty and promotes fulfillment of the hospital's mission, vision and values

Regulatory compliance. Ensures legal, regulatory and accrediting compliance and represents the hospital in relationships with local, state and central government agencies

Knowledge about NABH. Ensures implementing and executing operational plans in accordance to NABH guidelines

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of executive health care leadership experience of independently handling a team of more than 50 people; with at least 3 years in multi speciality health care preferably.
