Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure Building, managing and engaging a distribution network for fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Responsible for the P&L of the region. B2B, ecommerce.
  • Achieve the best positioning for different products to maintain the most profitable product mix.
  • Responsible for new business development, negotiations and commercial contracts in line with proposed budgeted growth. Business development includes Modern Trade, Bulk trade, Mandi Trade and Exports.
  • Coordinate with head office and board of directors for business development strategies, presenting the plana and taking the suggestions and preparing the strategies.
  • Participate in defining the sales channels, targeted customers, coverage objective, and the sales mix in each market. Guiding and building a process with management on clientwise, segmentwise and citywise and arrive or derive total exposure limits.
  • Ensure a strong system, follow up and coordination mechanism for payment collection and recovery.
  • Develop all the business plans and strategies for each and every market segment. Build a strong position in each market.
  • Develop business with Wholesalers for fruits and Vegetables (branded and unbranded) and derive sustainable and profitable relationships.
  • Ensure procurement/purchases are efficiently done. Guide and train the employees in procurement, operations and sales department.
  • Create processes and metrics of quality by observing and identifying areas in need of improvement and implement programs to ensure quality.
  • Ensure Quality Standards as per FSSAI Compliance.
  • Conduct both internal and external audits/visits & report audit results and implement new/existing activities to critically analyse and improve quality/safety gaps.
  • Overall supervision of all delivery centres and collection centres; its functioning, efficiency, effectiveness and workforce is deployed effectively, it's productivity and ensures it surpasses the industry standards.
  • Ensuring that the quality system established is improved, implemented and maintained
  • Effectively communicate product quality concerns to management.
  • Benchmark all service level deliverables; discuss with senior tram members wherever policy decisions need to be revisited.
  • Responsible for driving the revenue for the business as budgeted.
  • Develop a separate line of business within the organised retail for 'Prime' branded premium fruits and imported fruits.
  • Develop business with unorganised & organised retail Pan India for fruits and Vegetables.
  • Build and lead a sales team with the guidance of seniors and company policies, train them and align them in delivering targets for product groups across seasons.
  • Ensure operations within laid down time limits, and ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review credit norms with the vendors and customers within permitted limits as envisaged in the company policy.
  • Work collaboratively with operations and quality teams to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plan in consultation with business head to achieve targeted revenue and profits.
  • Build and maintain strong, longlasting customer relationships by proactively understanding their business plans, needs and objectives.
  • Identify and communicate with customers) and market trends to anticipate and take advantage of market trends in a rapidly changing market. Responsible for customer engagements.
  • Help the company with valuable inputs by sharing market in formations periodically to have a reliable market intelligence system.
  • Proactively report on forces that may shift/ affect tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts/ customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all costings and prices, sales and activity report with a strong focus on compliance and controls.
  • Supervise price management (consumer price, trade margins, cost/price analysis), as well as investigate cost reduction measures to enhance product performance.
  • Review and monitor operational records, registers and performance of the collection centres, delivery centres, and service deliverables and report projected sales and likely profitability.
  • Report any deviations or likely deviations from the sales, operational and administrative activities.
  • Ensure all the departments assigned to you are functioning as per the standard operating procedure. In the absence of a standard operating procedure, create one with the help of a peer group or seniors.
  • Ensure continuously communicating with the customers to influence customers wherever required. Establish a positive and constructive business relationship with the vendor/distributor in each market to achieve company strategies.
