DWS Corporate Governance Center


Our dedicated DWS Corporate Governance Center is part of the CIO for Responsible Investments with activities integrated into the investment process, designed to go beyond the fiduciary duties.

The main responsibilities of the Center include the management of processes and policies related to corporate governance activities such as the exercise of voting rights, engagement with senior board and management representatives of portfolio companies as well as client related ESG activities.

The Center is also actively participating in relevant global industry initiatives as well as policy development of national and international corporate governance standards to share and further enhance the DWS thought leadership in this regard.

Your key responsibilities
As a Corporate Governance Analyst, you are part of the Responsible Investment team in the CIO with hubs in Frankfurt, New York, and Mumbai

  • Support proxy voting and analysis of general shareholder meetings with investee companies globally
  • Support of dedicated Corporate Governance Services (e.g., proxy voting, analysis, engagements, reporting) for institutional clients
  • Support of Engagement activities with investees
  • Identification and analysis of relevant, time sensitive international Corporate Governance topics in voting proposals
  • Analysis of environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and management of ESG risks and opportunities of companies
  • Complex data gathering/analysis and qualitative screening.
  • Support with voting processes (monitoring, execution, reporting etc.)
  • Communication of execution with the relevant stakeholders in the business
  • Support with presentation preparation and documentation management
  • Support with policy management
  • Support RfP/Due Diligence/Reporting activities

Your skills and experience

  • Academic degree in Legal studies / Company Secretaries / Chartered Accountant or similar, with basic understanding of Financial Analysis
  • Broad knowledge of capital markets and company law
  • Prior experience as Corporate Governance Analyst
  • Very good knowledge of Asset Management business
  • Advanced Proficiency in MS-Office
  • Ability to deal with large data sets and automation skills for productivity enhancements.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Passionate about responsible investing/stewardship and having positive impact.
