    Description

    Job Title: Pediatric Physiotherapist

    Job Summary:

    The pediatric physiotherapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating infants, children, and adolescents with physical impairments or disabilities. They work closely with patients and their families to develop tailored treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical function. Additionally, they may collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to pediatric patients.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients to identify physical impairments, developmental delays, or disabilities.
    2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice.
    3. Provide hands-on physiotherapy interventions to improve motor skills, balance, posture, and overall physical function.
    4. Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, home exercise programs, and strategies to promote optimal development and rehabilitation.
    5. Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
    6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatricians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and educators, to coordinate care and maximize patient outcomes.
    7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
    8. Stay abreast of advancements in pediatric physiotherapy practice and participate in continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
    2. Licensure or registration as a physiotherapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
    3. Specialization or additional training in pediatric physiotherapy is preferred.
    4. Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a clinical setting.
    5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children and their families.
    6. Compassion, patience, and empathy towards pediatric patients and their caregivers.
    7. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
    8. Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional development.
