Ciklum is looking for an Expert Data Scientist to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:
As an Expert Data Scientist, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Together, we will work on the project focused on developing advanced deep learning solutions for medical imaging, including tumour segmentation and patient response prediction using CT, PET, and MRI data, with an emphasis on multi-modal models and large-scale training pipelines.

Responsibilities:
Develop interactive and fully automatic models that segment tumours from CT, PET and MRI scans for different tumour types
Align different images together, including CT scans with PET scans and scans taken at different time points
Develop multi-modal prediction models for tumour segmentation and patient response prediction
Design and implement large model training pipelines that can train models using many GPUs
Train, debug, and deploy deep learning models in production environments
Write high-quality code for machine learning products beyond research prototypes
Review and analyze deep learning research papers and translate research ideas into production-ready solutions
Apply theoretical knowledge of deep computer vision models, including image classification, segmentation, multi-modality models, diffusion models, large language models, and transformer models for tabular data

Requirements:
Strong experience developing interactive and fully automatic tumour segmentation models using CT, PET and MRI data
Experience aligning medical images across modalities and time points
Hands-on experience building multi-modal models for segmentation and patient response prediction
Proven ability to design and implement large-scale training pipelines utilizing multiple GPUs
Hands-on experience training, debugging, and deploying deep learning models
Strong coding skills for production-grade machine learning systems
Ability to read, understand, and productize ideas from deep learning research papers
Solid theoretical understanding and practical experience with advanced computer vision and deep learning models
Strong experience with Python, PyTorch, and PyTorch Lightning

Desirable:
PhD or Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics
Experience working with medical data such as CT scans, H&E slices, or genetic data
Experience with model inference speed optimization and model distillation
