    Job Brief:

    We are looking for a Senior Analog Hardware Design Engineer to join our research and development team. Our electronics research team designs, develops and integrates mission-critical avionics systems for all the unmanned vehicle systems. You will work with electrical and electronics scientists to design and develop power electronics and analog circuits for the embedded subsystems of UAVs.

    Required Skills:

    • Experience in DC-DC power supply design using buck, boost and flyback topologies.
    • Knowledge of high power AC-DC and DC-DC power supply based flyback, LLC, push pull, half bridge and dual active bridge topologies.
    • Familiar with high voltage up to 1000V DC to low voltage 50V DC conversion design proficiency.
    • Experience in charging profiles for Li-Ion, Li-Po batteries for 6s, 12s, 16s, 24s configuration of cells.
    • Experience in power factor correction techniques for chargers.
    • Familiar with concepts of active rectification.
    • Experience in transformer design and calculations for said topologies.
    • Knowledge of analog electronics components like transistors, MOSFETs, IGBTs, buck and boost converters, linear regulators, op-amps etc.
    • Knowledge of the peripherals – ADC, DAC, TIMER, PWM, SPI, SDIO, UART, I2C, PLL, CAN, RS232, RS485 etc. and its debugging skills.
    • Knowledge of efficiency calculation of the switching and power conversion circuits.
    • Experience in designing filters for analog & digital signals.
    • Knowledge of ECAD tools Altium, Capture CIS, Allegro PCB editor.
    • Expertise in circuit simulation using Pspice or equivalent tool.
    • Hands on experience in carrying out board bring-up and design verification testing.
    • Hands-on experience in DSO, power supplies, current probes, data loggers, power analysers etc.
    • Understanding of the layout guidelines for power and signals to meet the EMI/EMC compliance as per MIL and automotive levels.
    • Familiar with layout practices to mitigate EMC/EMI issues.
    • Experience in protection circuitries to mitigate the impact of EMC on power and signals.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience in working with 32-bit microcontrollers.
    • Experience in working with ASIL B / ASIL D systems.
    • Experience in working with Li-Po, Li-Ion Chargers for up to 2kW.
    • Experience in design of electronics speed controllers for BLDC motors.
    • Having knowledge of the PDLC documentation .
    • Experience in working with PLM software.
    • Familiarity with electronics used in extreme temperature, shock and vibration environments.
    • Knowledge of compliance and certifications for automotive/ MIL grade products.
    • Familiar with circuit design techniques to have good EMI/EMC performance of design.
    • Familiar with the Mass Production process, ICT (FPT) and Functional Testing.

    As Analog Hardware Design Engineer, you will:

    • Be responsible to design DC-DC power supplies of varied ratings.
    • Be responsible for the Li-Po Li-Ion charger AC-DC design and development.
    • Be responsible for the development of cutting-edge power management and monitoring systems like BMS, PMIC and similar.
    • Collaborate with the mixed-signal and high-speed signal design teams to develop embedded systems of UAVs
    • Design schematics in ECAD tools – Altium, OrCAD Capture.
    • Perform design analysis like derating analysis, WCCA, CFMEA, DFMEA, thermal analysis, power budget etc.
    • Be responsible for product development life cycle documentation.
    • Prepare PCB layout guidelines and work closely with PCB team in reviewing the layout.
    • Prepare test plans for board and design verification followed by testing and reports to test the hardware in accordance with the requirements or specifications.

    Degree and Experience:

    • B.E., B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Electrical/Electronics engineering or related discipline
    • 5+ years of related work experience in analog hardware board design.
