Job Summary:
The Physical Education Trainer plays a pivotal role in fostering physical fitness, health awareness, and sportsmanship among students. The primary responsibility involves designing and implementing physical education programs.
This position requires a passion for promoting an active lifestyle, enhancing sports skills, and cultivating a positive attitude towards physical activity and wellness.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and ageappropriate PE programs for students.
- Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to physical fitness and sports.
- React quickly to an emergency or injury without panicking, and be physically fit enough to keep up with each class throughout the school day
- Organize and oversee intraschool and interschool sports competitions, coaching students to compete at their best while upholding the values of sportsmanship and respect.
- Maximize efficiency, maintain discipline, morale, promote teamwork, plan, communicate, focus on results, evaluate progress, and make constant adjustments to their professional practice
- Maintain sports facilities, equipment, and resources in optimal condition, ensuring a safe environment for physical education activities.
- Inventory management of sports equipment and supplies, coordinating with school administration for procurement and maintenance as needed.
- Provide mentorship and support to students, promoting self-confidence, resilience, and perseverance through sports and physical challenges.
Qualifications:
- Master's or a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
- Previous experience working as a physical education teacher or coach in a school, preferably in a residential school setting.
- Knowledge of various sports, fitness training methodologies, and health promotion strategies.
- Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Understanding of cultural sensitivities and gender dynamics prevalent in Indian educational settings.
