    Description

    Role :
    Platform Engineering and Operations architecture


    Key Responsibilities :

    • Design and implement secure and efficient patch management strategies for various platform components, including :
    • Application code (internal and external)
    • Operating systems (Linux)
    • OEM components
    • Infrastructure elements
    • Open source components (OSS libraries)
    • Develop and automate workflows for patch testing, staging, and rollout, ensuring minimal disruption and rapid rollback capabilities.
    • Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to identify and quickly address any potential issues arising from patching.
    • Collaborate with software development teams, security engineers, and operations personnel to ensure smooth coordination and successful execution of patch cycles.
    • Stay abreast of the latest security vulnerabilities and patching best practices, adapting strategies and tools accordingly.
    • Own the platform's patch engineering documentation and maintain clear communication channels regarding patch schedules and potential impacts.
    • Lead initiatives to optimize and automate patch management processes for continuous improvement.
    • The person needs to have knowledge of facing RBI audits (IT/ security) as well

    Technical Experience :

    • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or similar roles have done this kind of work for leading B2C digital platform
    • Proven track record of successfully managing and automating patch processes for largescale, missioncritical systems.
    • Expert knowledge of Linux systems and administration, including patch management tools and automation techniques.
    • Indepth understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with patch management workflows.
    • Strong familiarity with security principles and practices, including vulnerability management and patching prioritization.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problemsolving skills.
    • Passion for building and maintaining reliable, highperforming platforms.
    • Experience in running B2C scale, specifically within the financial services industry.
    • Expertise in onpremisebased platform management and patching for modern engineered platform.
    • Knowledge of containerized environments and containerspecific patching needs.
