Responsibilities:Provide 24*7 supports for production, development, and test databases. Be responsible for standard databases administration duties: including, but not limited to, installation, patching and change migration, monitoring, backup and recovery. Build, upgrade, migrate and maintain databases. Installation, engineering and administration of Oracle standalone/RAC/ASM/GI clustered (11g, 12c, 19c ) environments. Installation, configuration and administration of data replication technologies: Data Guard, Active Data Guard. Use RMAN backup/recovery and deployment. Use Oracle Grid Control (OEM19c) for monitoring. Support patching and upgrades of Servers, databases and appliances. Support disaster recovery events. Support Incident and Problem management. Experienced with Oracle failover and switchover concepts. Partitioning and advanced compression skills. Expertise in performance tuning of SQL statements, reports, Oracle database and Database server. Knowledge of Instance Tuning, Memory Tuning and SQL Tuning.
Provide technical support and coordination for core infrastructure components including server, network, storage, software and middleware. Communicate effectively with DBA team members, developers and management. Experienced architecting, configuring, designing and deploying Oracle databases for OLTP, DW and data marts usage and including HA, failover for maximum availability architecture.
Operations Responsible for maintaining services to agreed Service Levels through effective management and communication to all parties. Responsible for alerting the Leadership team, Service managers and Business of any issues that impact production or result in reduced resilience during a production period. Is involved in the maintenance and regular testing of tier 0 disaster recovery plans Ensuring that system failures are contained and resolved with minimum business impact and that steps are taken to manage failures in IT delivery. To join the Incident Management team during major incidents To ensure timely weekly preparation of brief management reports To regularly revue working practices to identify opportunities to work smarter and more effectively Oversee changes to ensure mínimal disruption and compliance with change processes Provide timely participation in follow in problem focus groups Involved in updates for operational procedures and associated support documentation. To at all times follow and encourage ITIL best practice.
