Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated R&D Chemist to join our team and contribute to the development and optimization of our supply chain system for the international market in the field of chemicals.

As an R&D Chemist specialising in supply chain management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of our products from manufacturing facilities to customers worldwide.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and continuously improve our supply chain processes, ensuring they align with global regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

Research and Development:

Conduct in-depth research on international market trends, regulatory requirements, and customer demands related to chemical products and supply chain management.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field and recommend innovative approaches to optimise the supply chain system.

Supply Chain Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic plans for the efficient and cost-effective movement of chemicals across international markets.

Analyse and evaluate various transportation modes, packaging solutions, warehousing strategies, and distribution channels to enhance operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain system, such as streamlining logistics, reducing lead times, minimising waste, and optimising inventory levels.

Collaborate with internal teams, including manufacturing, procurement, quality control, and sales, to implement efficient supply chain processes.

Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with international regulations and industry standards governing the transport, storage, and handling of chemicals.

Develop and maintain robust quality assurance and control procedures to mitigate risks associated with supply chain activities, such as product contamination, transit delays, and customs regulations.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
Utilise advanced analytical tools and software to collect, analyse, and interpret supply chain data.

Generate comprehensive reports, dashboards, and metrics to measure the performance of the supply chain system, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.

D. is a plus.

Proven experience in supply chain management within the chemical industry, preferably in an international context.
Strong knowledge of international regulations, standards, and best practices related to chemical supply chain management.
Proficient in data analysis and familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex supply chain challenges.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics and continuously improve the supply chain system.
