_RESPONSIBILITIES_
- _Assesses student interest, aptitudes, and abilities in order to assist in academic and career planning._
- _Counsel students in developing a specific academic program including choice of major and course selections_
- _Acts as a liaison of the Advisory Center with faculty, other schools and colleges, other University offices, and regional campuses. Provides outreach to enhance student development, improve the quality of the learning environment, and counsel students to meet academic and career goals. Coordinates programs for students with unique goals and needs.
Plans and provides outreach programs for high-risk students to promote retention. Serves as a resource to other academic advisors/counselors concerning student with difficulties._
- _Plans and implements programs to help students with academic and career decisions._
- _Provides personal, vocational, and other non-academic counseling as appropriate._

  • REQUIREMENTS_
- _Bachelor's degree related to education_
- _Experience in student counseling, development, education, or related field._
- _Strong communication and interpersonal skills._
- _Computer skills._
- _Ability to maintain accurate and updated records concerning student performance._
- _A desire to help students in their academic journey, from enrollment to graduation_.


Schedule:

  • Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Calicut, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Language:


  • English (preferred)
