    Accounting& ControlFunctions

    • Directmanaging a team of 25 newly established team responsible for thecareer and personal development of the team.
    • Managing and ensuringsmooth Client relationship
    • Contribute to theperformance of 1st level accounting controls on a list of keyareas.
    • This includes reviewof the 1st level controls for all major financial and accountingareas including all banking products accounting and reconciliationsCustody reconciliations Revenue Recognition Credit and portfoliorisk and provisioning Nostro controls Manual entries FX selldownintercompany reconciliation etc. Ensure that the Accounting ControlRepository Database is updated with the changes in accountscontrols and ownership.
    • Monitor account and1st level control signoff and escalate problems identified.Contribute to the preparation of the Stats Reports that providesHOD/FSS Head with an overview of accounting control outcome on amonthly basis.
    • Monitor AccountingControl outcomes through key performance and key risk indicators.Prepare ad hoc control memo upon request when an issue isidentified. Ensure the good coordination with the RegionalFinancial Reporting team in particular whenever an accounting issueneeds to be addressed.
    • Internal Participateto Finance Projects linked to Accounting Controls Contribute tooperational permanent control framework.
    • Report incidents andaccounting issues. Review BO GL reconciliations on daily/monthlybasis and understand the gaps and how the same can be actionedEnforce controls and ensure that suspense and other sensitiveaccounts do not have unexplained balances
    • Review dailytransactional account activity/daily ledgers for posting errors andbackvalue transactions Review ledgers and perform account andtransaction analysis for a set of entities. Prepare dashboard forsenior management on the status of breaks identified along withroot cause Review monthend substantiation packages for multiplelegal entities.
    • Decision Support:Provide indepth analysis of historical financials varianceexplanations key performance indicators for evaluation of businessdecisions and identify levers that can be pulled to optimizeperformance/goals.
    • Establish theappropriate governance and cadence necessary to provide relevantstakeholders with timely commentary and insights into KPIs andoperational results.
    • Review and implementrobust controls framework regularly for consistent highqualitydelivery:
    • Identify and mitigaterisks in process delivery focus on processenhancements/harmonization and ensure a proficient setup toincrease the teams efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Direct contributionto operational permanent control framework adhere to compliancerequirements SLA preparation / review and review of operationalprocedures.

    PeopleManagement:

    Set objectives ensureaccurate performance evaluation provide regular feedback managetalent pool and career paths support mobility for the teams. Coachteam of finance professionals and guide their career planning.

    Manage costs bydriving efficiencies effective hiring for optimal team pyramidsetc. Contributing Responsibilities Change Management Ensure activechange management for globally driven/locally initiatedtransformation projects. Classification :

    Internal Participatein the technology upgrades of respective accounting/reporting tools(OFS Dream Fit etc.) as well as system enhancements required tofacilitate new / modified reporting requirements. In connectionwith this effort ensure timely user acceptance testing andtroubleshooting.

    TechnicalQualification:

    1. Qualified CharteredAccountant

    2. Accounting degreeor equivalent

    yearsexperiences on accounting audit or accounting control

    4. Banking(mandatory)

    5. IFRS knowledge(Preferable)

    6. Solid understandingof financial instruments and developed skills in analysis ofbusiness supporting processes from accounting control perspective.

    7. Knowledge ofInvestment banking products

    8. Strongorganizational skills rigorous and selfdisciplined

    9. Attention to detailand commitment to maintaining a strong control environment.

    10. Good communicationskills (i.e. writing listening presentation)

    11. Advanced technicalskills (i.e. MS Word Excel PowerPoint Access)

    12. Former auditexperience or experiences on the accounting controls within aFinance function in Banking and Financial Services (mandatory)1

    3. FinancialAccounting and Controls function in banking industry OR 14. FinanceAudit experience for BankingSector
