About Us:
We offer live, 1-to-1 classes for children to learn programming languages including Python, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, R, PHP, C#, Robotics, and Swift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging coding lessons and activities for children aged [insert age range] using ageappropriate tools and platforms.
- Teach fundamental coding concepts such as sequencing, loops, conditionals, and debugging in a fun and interactive manner.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where children feel comfortable experimenting and making mistakes.
- Provide oneonone assistance and guidance to students as they work on coding projects and assignments.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians on a regular basis.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to develop curriculum materials and lesson plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for teaching kids (e.g., Scratch, Python, JavaScript).
- Experience working with children in an educational or mentoring capacity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, empathetic, and passionate about working with kids and fostering their interest in coding and technology.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varying levels of experience and learning styles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching coding or computer science to children in a formal or informal setting.
- Familiarity with educational technologies and online learning platforms.
- Certification in teaching or education.
