    Description

    Role :
    Database Administrator


    Responsibilities :

    • Manage SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases efficiently.
    • Configure and maintain database servers and associated processes.
    • Proactively monitor system health and performance.
    • Facilitate database patches, upgrades, and migrations.
    • Uphold high standards of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
    • Address and resolve issues promptly in realtime.
    • Offer insights and recommendations for enhancing database solutions.
    • Streamline and automate routine processes while maintaining meticulous documentation.
    • Collaborate with developers to finetune queries and refine schemas.
    • Provide roundtheclock support for crucial production systems.
    • Execute scheduled maintenance and support afterhours release deployments.

    Requirements :

    • Minimum 5 years of experience as a SQL Server or PostgreSQL DBA or in a similar capacity.
    • Proficiency with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms for at least 3 years.
    • Extensive background (5 years) in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).
    • Solid expertise (5 years) in backups, restores, and recovery models.
    • Thorough understanding (5 years) of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
    • Competence in Windows server, Linux systems, and shell scripting.
    • Demonstrated sense of ownership and dedication to achieving company goals.
    • Strong problemsolving abilities and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to work effectively within a team.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
