Position Description:


We are actively seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Production Supervisor for our facility specializing in the production of recycled rubber.

As the Line Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to provide leadership support on the plant floor, ensuring the efficient and safe processing of recycled rubber materials.

This position operates under the guidance of the Plant Manager and involves organizing plant resources, including labor, equipment, processes, recycled rubber materials, and other technology on a day-to-day basis.

Applicants must be available to work morning shifts and/or night shifts.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of plant staff, including general labor and machine operators involved in the molding process.
  • Under the direction of the Plant Manager, ensure that plant production meets productivity goals and financial targets for recycled materials.
  • Ensure that recycled material produced meet the quality specifications required by clients.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and oversee preventative maintenance on molding equipment, minimizing downtime.
  • Coordinate with scale and shipping personnel to manage the flow of recycled rubber materials in and out of the facility.
  • Maintain detailed coordination and communication with other shift supervisors/lead hands.
  • Ensure a safe, well-organized facility with a focus on good housekeeping practices.
  • Prepare production and quality reports related to recycled materials.
  • Assist in training floor personnel on molding operations, quality specifications of recycled rubber materials, and safety procedures.
  • Provide recommendations to improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including a willingness to be trained in operating and maintaining specialized equipment.

Qualifications:


  • Ability and willingness to work shift work (day and evening), weekends, and holidays.
2. 2-3 years' experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing or processing environment, preferably in rubber recycling or molding.


  • Must be proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn about the unique aspects of rubber recycling and molding.
  • Mobile equipment operation experience or certification (forklift, molding equipment) is an asset.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • University/College degree or operation training/certification is an asset.
