Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, and infrastructure teams to define comprehensive technical requirements and craft robust system architectures that deliver value and efficiency.
Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge mainframe technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance system capabilities and streamline development processes, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.
Conduct thorough code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization activities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mainframe applications, leveraging deep expertise in mainframe development and architecture.
Provide expert guidance and support to development teams on mainframe best practices, standards, and methodologies, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the organization.
Stay abreast of the latest mainframe technologies, emerging trends, and industry best practices, actively participating in knowledge-sharing activities and sharing insights with the team to drive innovation and excellence.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by extensive experience in mainframe development and architecture, with a focus on solution design.
Proficiency in key mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM, coupled with a strong understanding of mainframe system architecture, performance optimization, and security principles.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights.
Skills :
- Mainframe Solution Design: Demonstrated ability to architect mainframe solutions that meet business requirements and performance objectives, leveraging deep technical expertise and industry best practices.
Technical Leadership : Proven track record of providing expert guidance and support to development teams on mainframe projects, driving successful outcomes and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver robust system architectures that drive organizational success.
Performance Optimization: Advanced proficiency in performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications, ensuring optimal system performance and efficiency.
Preferred :
- Certification in mainframe technologies (e.g. , IBM Certified System Programmer), demonstrating advanced proficiency and expertise in specific mainframe platforms.
Experience with modernization initiatives such as mainframe migration or integration with cloud platforms, showcasing versatility and adaptability in leveraging emerging technologies to drive organizational transformation.
