**OGS Learning Transformation team is responsible for various transformative projects in partnership with the training delivery team. The Instructional Designer will embrace this exciting opportunity to lead change to the way in which we promote learning. He or she will help define new standards and strategies to promote learning using current technologies to increase a self-paced environment. You'll be required to correct spelling, grammar, and layout (proofreading), check content, use consistent styles and reword or rewrite (copy-editing). You will also consult with training and business partners on the design, development, execution, and measurement of learning programs to support our internal operations business partners. The ID will be responsible for designing interactive instructor-led and online learning programs while ensuring high-quality, innovative, and effective learning programs. The ID keeps abreast of various design strategies, with emphasis in Online Learning, both synchronous and asynchronous.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Review and revise content for accuracy and quality, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and syntax
  • Communicate and work with production teams to ensure that content is published in a timely manner. Ensuring correct tone, voice, clarity, flow, and structure of content
  • Engage/collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and SMEs needed to identify business needs, performance goals and gaps
  • Keep abreast of trends in content and style reflected on various popular learning media channels
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or reassignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in English, creative writing, journalism, Instructional Design, or related fields
  • 3+ years of copywriting/copyediting experience
  • 1+ years of experience writing web, mobile, or digital content
  • Experience or working knowledge of writing for web accessibility

Skills

  • Technical Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the English language, both US and UK
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Associated Press or Chicago Style
  • Ensure that content adheres to the inhouse style guide
  • Compile and update style guides as required
  • Process Specific Skills
  • Proven experience with designing and developing online learning solutions, both synchronous and asynchronous
  • Good knowledge of basic ID principles such as ADDIE, Bloom's taxonomy, Adult Learning Principles, Gagne's 9 events etc.
  • Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, problemsolving and factbased decisionmaking abilities
