Project description:

One of the leading Oil and Gas company in the UK requires a hand-on Architect to support the data migration to cloud and keep an eye on the infrastructure.

Client-facing role, you will be talking to technical managers of the client directly.

Responsibilities:

Essential:
Customer facing, assembling requirements

Ability to assess current infrastructure solution and determine ongoing requirements

Knowledge/experience of infrastructure security design e.g. placement of networks / systems into DMZs

Ability to familiarise with customer requirements for security e.g. perimeter security

Knowledge at least for high level design for servers, storage, networking

Knowledge of windows o/s.

Ideal:
Knowledge of oil and gas industry, types of systems etc. Not directly relevant but helps with customer conversations

ideally low-level design/implementation experience

in depth knowledge of windows

Skills:

Must have

cloud technologies, enterprise infrastructure and network, security, databases, migration

Nice to have

development with C-like languages
