Project Description**:

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation.

In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels

Responsibilities:

S/he will participate in agile software development processes including gathering and analyzing business information and system requirements to developing and delivering solutions.
S/he is expected to ensure individual/team commitments, removing roadblocks; work with Product Owner in managing user requirement for project deliverables/MVP, managing stakeholder communications.
S/he shall provide technical insight into feasibility analysis and may execute proof of concepts.
S/he is expected to ensure adherence of all deliverables to appropriate standards and quality levels.
S/he is expected to work closely and communicate effectively, with external vendors and technology partners.
Coordinate & implement platform /infrastructure upgrades and releases with technical and business teams.
Troubleshoot problems across a wide range of technical skills (development, CI/CD, infrastructure, etc).
Automate the system operations to reduce Toil and attain high level of efficiency.

Skills:

Must have
years of total IT experience in SRE and Production automation experience in a Banking and Financial services environment. Experience gained in the SRE team, a good understanding of SRE concepts and principles regarding performance, reliability, monitoring, alerting.

3+ years of experience in a professional production environment as a developer in Python, Java, Kafka, PCF, Spark and ELK.
Production automation. Automation of manual activities /processes for Production teams. (Automation experience required)
Good experience in running automation and service improvements experience
Capacity monitoring & Observability. Good level of command over production Infra; performance monitoring and reporting tools
Handson Engineering/ Development experience working on production systems automation in Banking systems architecture design, development, integration, customization & implementation.
Ability to write clear and concise documentation (such as requirements, design and testing procedures)
Strong technical/ programming skills. Knowledge of additional programming languages
Python, Java, Kafka, PCF, Spark and ELK an added advantage.
Data handling tools
Software version control tools (Git) and Jenkins
Experience using and optimizing monitoring and trending systems (Prometheus, Grafana), log aggregation systems (ELK, Splunk) and their agents
Ability to work with stakeholders to stretch his/her role in depth/width
Present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
Good knowledge of development practices and ability to write clear and concise documentation for requirements, design and testing procedures
Proactive, independent, resourceful and Strong team player, effective at communicating internationally and used to working closely with remote teams and peers.
High attention to detail with focus on understanding the issues with finding solutions
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate ownership and responsibility in all assignments
Working experience in MariaDB, MongoDB and PCF/OpenShift
Experience in automating end to end DevOps operations
At least 6+ years of experience In Devops Automation Tools/Cloud/Infra
Deployment and Debugging Initiatives across the estate with respect to cloud/Devops/Infra tools.
Strong expertise in DevOps and CI/CD implementation
Experience with container technologies like Docker/Kubernetes.
Evaluate, Develop and Integrate CI/CD Pipelines, desirable experience, or good familiarity with Docker, Jenkins Pipelines, Ansible, Python, shell scripting.
Working knowledge on S3 buckets.
Good Knowledge on RDBMS eg. MariaDB and NoSQL DB as well eg. Aerospike
Ability to Design/implement/Manage automation for daily activities using the Devops tools.
Strong ITIL background required.
Good awareness on networking protocols like TCP/UDP/Firewall/ACL.
