Position Details

EY's GDS Assurance Digital team's mission is to develop, implement and integrate technology solutions that better serve our audit clients and engagement teams.

As a member of EY's core Assurance practice, you'll develop a deep Audit related technical knowledge and outstanding database, data analytics and programming skills.

Ever-increasing regulations require audit departments to gather, organize and analyse more data than ever before.

Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization.

Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company.

EY is currently seeking a Sr.

Software Engineer to join the GDS Assurance Digital practice in Bangalore, India, to work on various Microsoft technology based projects for customers across the globe.

Requirements (including experience, skills and additional qualifications)

A Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech/MCA) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field with adequate industry experience.

Skill requirements:

Have excellent experience and a proven track record architecting enterpriselevel data platforms. You will manage your own and your team's performance to deliver high quality, highly perform an solutions to our customer.
Experience with design and setup of cloud Datawarehouse
Industry experience in operationalization of cloud data lake and its enrichment layers
Experience with data governance practices and setup of end to end data management foundation for a large enterprise
Hands on knowledge of Azure data lake, ADF, SQL Server, Cosmos DB and other Azure data managed services
Azure certification for Solution Architect preferred
Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modelling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data
Strong experience in data modelling for large cross functional data landscape by leverage industry best practices
Knowledge of DCAM frameworks and experience in implementing data management capabilities for large enterprises
Technology evaluation across vendors and ability to recommend tech stack for data capabilities
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
Product centric mindset and business focused outcomes
Ability to work with cross functional teams

Key Responsibilities:

Drive data capability prioritization in alignment with business priorities and use cases
Implementation of data services for exposing certified data assets for enterprise consumption
Drive the definition of conceptual and physical data models for data products
Ability to span across multiple platform engineering tracks
Ability to run data discovery and work with source system owners to understand the data landscape of the organization across various functional data domains
Experience leading a team of Data Engineers / Data Analysts
Breakdown business problems and drive solution definition exercise
Establish Architectures, Tools, Workflows, that enable fast and efficient use and flow of Data
Ensure collaboration with other entities in the company and to ensure seamless interaction of IT systems and data flow
Design, develop, implement, and coordinate efficient and effective architectural frameworks, guidelines, policies and procedures for Data Management and Data Flow
