Description

Perform firefighting work including preventing, combating and extinguishing fires with the goal of protecting lives, the environment and property.

• Operating tools and equipment used for firefighting safely and effectively.
• Providing appropriate medical care within their scope of knowledge in emergency situations.
• Analyzing hazardous situations and thinking of quick solutions and actions.
• Teaching and participating in training classes and drills in firefighting, emergency medical care, disaster response and specialized rescue.
• Performing general maintenance on firefighting equipment and facilities.
• Maintaining a clean environment in the department facilities.
• Protects citizens during emergencies.
• Executes rescues.
• Prevents fire damage by conducting surveys and inspections for hazards and enforcing codes.
• Prepares citizens to prevent fire damage by developing and conducting educational and training programs.
• Ensures availability of water at fire scene by testing hydrants, requesting and expediting repairs, and verifying repairs.
• Minimizes fire damage by responding to alarms, driving and operating equipment, regulating water pressure, combating and extinguishing fires, and rescuing and reviving people.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Notifies supervisor of needed repairs.
• Evaluates new equipment and techniques.
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
• Provides information by completing reports.
• Handles minor medical care and other emergency services.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, studying publications, and participating in scheduled drills.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Experience:

• Experience of 1 to 2 years in the relevant role in a reputed infrastructure.

Salary:

• Rs. 14,000/ to Rs. 16,500/ gross monthly. PF, ESI, Gratuity & Bonus paid by company in accordance with the respective Acts.
