Functional responsibilities:


  • Work with US onshore senior bankers on diligence related to complex credit requests
  • Assist them in the preparation of underwriting materials through analysis of public/market information, historical financial analysis, industry data, peerc comparison, macro factors etc
  • Strong excel skills with an ability to create complex visually appealing charts by distilling high levels of information
  • Work in a fastpaced environment and possess a knack to understand, respond and resolve queries raised by the onshore underwriter
  • Monitoring & tracking of financial performance, covenants, borrower business model/future strategy, industry developments and macroeconomic events on the portfolio of covered client set across industries
  • General understanding of loan structure, various debt instruments, capital structure and credit documentation
  • Good stakeholder management skills as the team would be working closely with other teams during the various stages of the projects, adhoc special projects as needed by onshore team
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Wells Fargo's credit risk policies, risk appetite, and underwriting guideline
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Desired Qualifications:


  • Outstanding academic qualifications
  • MBA / MSc Finance from a premier educational institution
  • 2+ yrs of experience in Credit Underwriting / Credit risk / Credit Rating
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial concepts
  • Knowledge of database tools preferred
  • Factset, Thomson one, Capital IQ, LevFin Insights, LCD News and Bloomberg
  • Knowledge of VBA, Tableau, Power BI etc. would be an added advantage

Desired Skills & Abilities

  • Strong inclination towards building a career in Fixed Income and Credit domain
  • Good understanding of corporate finance, financial statement, Ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, and ability to create indepth financial models
  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholders
  • Strong logical, analytical skills and a systematic problemsolving approach
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office Applications
  • Power Point and Excel
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure high quality of deliverables
  • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
