    Picture Yourself at Pega:

    In this role, you will engage deeply in building core features of Pega platform which runs thousands of BPM and CRM applications around the world. You would be embracing various CNCF technologies to make the platform cloud native i.e., making platform stateless, scalable, seamlessly upgradable, observable and highly performant. You will write code that is clean, unit tested and modularized using modern test-driven methodologies. You will be adopting best Devops practices using industry standard CI/CD solutions.

    What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Work as part of a collaborative Agile team working in a SCRUM model surrounded by fun loving talented engineers.
  • Work with Product owners and other stake holders along with the team members to design and build features into the product.
  • Innovate, Design and implement world class software.
  • Ensure that the delivered work meets functional and technical requirements, and quality standards.
  • Debug and maintain existing code base.
  • Document and follow development standards for all coding.
  • Follow TDD to ensure high code quality.
  • Unit test code to ensure technical requirements are satisfied.
  • Work on complex issues to design and develop high quality software

    • Who You Are:

  • The Software Engineer will contribute to the development and/or maintenance of core features of Pega Platform. Active participate in in various initiatives such development best practices, quality, learning, etc.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD)
  • Hands-on experience in Kotlin, core java, algorithms, data structures and problem solving.
  • Hands-on with microservice architectures, debugging experience.
  • Experience with container management technologies and concepts.
  • Agile/Scrum development methodology knowledge/experience.
  • Experience using the following: Kotlin, Kubernetes, AWS, Core Java, JUnits, tools like IntelliJ/Eclipse, Jenkins, Linux
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving skills and mentoring skills

    • What You've Accomplished:

  • Bachelor of Engineering/M Tech/ MCA with good academic record
  • Skilled software engineer with 1-2 years of experience, who can explore, understand and write good quality code quickly.
  • You understand and willing to work following Agile/Scrum development methodology.
  • You take constructive feedback with open mind and work to continuously improve yourself.
  • You are a self-starter and a self-learner.
  • You are pro-active to take work and to explore new areas.
