    Overview

    The HVACDesign Engineer plays a crucial role in the design and developmentof HVAC systems for various projects. They are responsible forensuring that HVAC systems are efficient reliable and costeffectivewhile meeting the specific requirements of each project. This roleis vital in ensuring the comfort and safety of building occupantsby providing effective heating ventilation and air conditioningsystems.

    Keyresponsibilities

    • Collaborating withproject managers and clients to understand HVAC systemrequirements.
    • Designing HVAC systems usingAutoCAD and other design software.
    • Performingload calculations to determine heating and coolingrequirements.
    • Creating and reviewing HVACsystem drawings and specifications.
    • Selectingappropriate equipment and components for HVACsystems.
    • Conducting energy efficiency andsustainability assessments for HVACsystems.
    • Coordinating with architects and otherengineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems into buildingdesigns.
    • Participating in project meetings andproviding technical expertise related to HVACdesigns.
    • Conducting site visits and inspectionsto ensure compliance with design and safetystandards.
    • Supporting the commissioning andtesting of HVAC systems.
    • Staying updated onindustry standards codes and regulations related to HVACdesign.
    • Contributing to the continuousimprovement of design processes andstandards.
    • Communicating with suppliers andcontractors regarding HVAC system components andinstallations.
    • Providing technical support andguidance to junior engineers and design teammembers.

    Requiredqualifications

    • Bachelors degree inMechanical Engineering or related field.
    • Provenexperience in HVAC system design andengineering.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and otherrelevant design software.
    • Thoroughunderstanding of engineering principles and HVAC systemcomponents.
    • Strong knowledge of industry codesstandards and regulations related to HVACdesign.
    • Excellent project management andorganizational skills.
    • Ability to perform loadcalculations and energy efficiencyassessments.
    • Effective communication andinterpersonal skills for client and teaminteractions.
    • Capability to workcollaboratively in a multidisciplinary teamenvironment.
    • Detailoriented approach to designand documentation.
    • Familiarity with sustainableand energyefficient HVAC designpractices.
    • Experience with commissioning andtesting of HVAC systems is a plus.
    • ProfessionalEngineer (PE) license or relevant certifications areadvantageous.
    • Willingness to stay updated onadvancements in HVAC technology and designtrends.
    • Problemsolving abilities and thecapacity to work under tightdeadlines.
