experience supporting PostgreSQL and MySQL databases. This role will be primarily focused on

production database administration for

PostgreSQL & MySQL databases.


Responsibilities:


  • Install, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL & MySQL software, implement monitoring and
alerting, implement backup and recovery processes, provide system and SQL performance

tuning and assist in business process integration with various data sources.

  • Fulfills user requests ranging from access control, backup, restore, refresh to nonproduction
to performance tuning.

  • Provides online & on call coverage for production support and administration of MongoDB,
and SQL on Hadoop.


Qualifications:


  • At least 3 years of handson experience in PostgreSQL & MySQL Database Administration/
Engineering

  • Bachelor degree in computer science, or information technology, or other related field of study
  • Has handson experience with Python multiprocessing, Django web framework and Celery Async
framework is a big plus.

  • Understands Javascript, Jquery and CSS web development is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB, SQL on Hadoop, SYBASE, Oracle is a big plus
