    What You'll do:

    Columnar Data Warehouse Management:

    • Administer and optimize columnar data warehouse systems for high performance, reliability, and scalability.
    • Implement best practices for data modeling, distribution, sorting, and partitioning in a columnar database environment.

    Resource Pool Configuration:

    • Design, configure, and manage resource pools to efficiently allocate computing resources based on workload priorities.
    • Monitor and adjust resource pool settings for optimal query performance and resource utilization.

    Subcluster Administration:

    • Set up and maintain subclusters within the data warehouse environment to isolate workloads and enhance overall system efficiency.
    • Implement and manage subcluster configurations to meet performance and isolation requirements.

    User Access Administration:

    • Create, modify, and delete user accounts in accordance with access requests and organizational changes.
    • Manage user access privileges based on job roles and responsibilities, ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

    Permission Management:

    • Define and implement rolebased access controls (RBAC) to restrict access to sensitive data and functionalities.
    • Regularly review and update permissions in collaboration with data owners and stakeholders.

    Security Audits and Monitoring:

    • Conduct regular security audits to identify and mitigate potential risks.
    • Monitor user activity and access logs, implementing proactive measures to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches.

    NoSQL Database Integration:

    • Evaluate, implement, and manage NoSQL databases to complement data warehousing capabilities.
    • Ensure seamless integration between columnar and NoSQL databases for diverse data types and use cases.

    MongoDB Cluster and Replica Set Management:

    • Design, implement, and manage MongoDB shared clusters for high availability and fault tolerance.
    • Set up and maintain MongoDB replica sets to ensure data redundancy and failover capabilities.

    MongoDB Scaling and Sharding:

    • Implement and manage MongoDB sharding for horizontal scaling.
    • Monitor and adjust sharding configurations to accommodate growing data volumes.

    Kubernetes Orchestration:

    • Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized deployment of database systems.
    • Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize database performance in a containerized environment.

    User Training and Awareness:

    • Provide training on data security best practices and proper use of access privileges.
    • Foster a culture of data security awareness within the Maintain accurate documentation of user access policies and procedures.
    • Document changes to user access permissions and maintain an audit trail for compliance purposes.

    Performance Tuning:

    • Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks through query optimization and index tuning.
    • Collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal database design for performance.

    Backup and Recovery:

    • Implement robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
    • Regularly test and update backup and recovery procedures to meet business continuity requirements.

    Monitoring and Alerting:

    • Set up monitoring tools to track system health, resource utilization, and performance metrics.
    • Establish proactive alerting mechanisms to promptly address potential issues.

    The experience you need:

    • Proficiency in columnar database technologies (e.g., Yellowbrick, Vertica, Snowflake, Redshift).
    • Strong SQL skills and expertise in query optimization.
    • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Couchbase).
    • Proficient in Kubernetes orchestration and containerized deployment.
    • Knowledge of resource pool configuration and subcluster management.
    • Expertise in database security best practices.
    • Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies for largescale databases.
    • Troubleshooting and resolution of complex database and Kubernetes issues
    • Excellent problemsolving and criticalthinking skills
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective crossfunctional teamwork.
    • Detailoriented with a commitment to delivering highquality results.
    • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced and evolving work environment.
    • Proactive and selfmotivated with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Database Administrator, focusing on columnar data warehousing, NoSQL databases, and Kubernetes.
    • Handson working experience with cloud platforms like AWS .

    Candidates with Data Warehousing (DWH) skills-2+ years, prioritizing those who possess comprehensive coding proficiency in SQL and can effectively handle routine operations, including:

    • Migration
    • Query tuning/Profiling
    • Workload isolation
    • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
    • Observability/Monitoring
    • Backup/restore
    • Effective communication is essential; candidates should demonstrate a strong command of English.
