    Position:
    Senior Network EngineerExperience: 8+ years

    Job Summary:

    The Senior Network Engineer is a key member of the IT team responsible for the strategic planning, design, implementation, and management of the organization's network infrastructure.

    This role requires extensive expertise in network management, data center network design, and a proven track record of successfully delivering high-value networking projects.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Network Planning and Design:
    Develop and maintain the network architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
    Design data center network solutions, including hardware selection, redundancy, and disaster recovery.

    Network Implementation:
    Lead and oversee the implementation of network solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy network configurations and troubleshoot issues.

    Network Management:
    Proactively monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network resources.
    Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.

    High-Value Networking Projects:
    Lead and participate in high-value networking projects, such as network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
    Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, meeting quality standards.

    Troubleshooting and Support:
    Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, providing expertise in troubleshooting.
    Act as an escalation point for network-related incidents and provide guidance to junior team members.

    Documentation:
    Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

    Vendor Management:
    Evaluate and select network hardware and software vendors.
    Manage vendor relationships, including negotiations and contract reviews.

    Capacity Planning:
    Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future network growth and requirements.
    Make recommendations for hardware and software upgrades to support business needs.

    Compliance and Security:

    Ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA).Stay current with emerging network security threats and implement appropriate safeguards.


    Training and Mentoring:
    Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to junior network engineers and team members.
    Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration within the network team.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certifications.

    Extensive experience with network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
    Proficiency in network security best practices.
    Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully managing high-value networking projects.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
