Job Summary:

The F&B Captain is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage service operations at Jus Jumpin' Kids Entertainment facilities.

They ensure excellent customer service, adherence to food safety standards, and efficient management of the F&B team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the F&B service staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen support personnel.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring prompt and courteous service to all guests.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, and coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure adequate stock.
  • Conduct regular staff training on menu knowledge, service standards, food safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the food preparation and service areas.
  • Assist in menu planning and pricing, working closely with the culinary team.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Manage staff schedules, assignments, and performance evaluations.
  • Analyze sales data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing dining environment.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events and promotions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a family entertainment or restaurant setting.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, menu items, and beverage offerings.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and cost control techniques.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Proficient in using pointofsale (POS) systems and other relevant software.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary education in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
  • Food Handler's Certification or equivalent.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certification (if applicable).
