One of the leading B School in Bangalore is looking for an Assistant Professor

  • Marketing stream.

Job Summary:


The Assistant Professor in Marketing is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, conducting research, and providing academic leadership within the marketing department.


This position requires a deep understanding of marketing principles, the ability to engage students effectively, and a commitment to scholarly research.

The Assistant Professor will contribute to curriculum development, supervise student projects, actively participate in departmental activities, and work towards achieving the goals and objectives of the academic institution.


Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Course Development:
Develop and deliver graduate courses in marketing, including lectures, seminars, and workshops.

Create course syllabi, outline learning objectives, and develop teaching materials such as case studies, lecture notes, assignments, and assessments.

Employ a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to facilitate student learning and engagement especially through Case-Teaching.

Provide guidance and mentorship to students, including advising on academic and career-related matters.

Assess and evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and grade assignments, exams, and projects.

Research and Scholarship:
Conduct high-quality research in the field of marketing, leading to publications in reputable academic journals and conferences.

Identify research opportunities, develop research proposals, and secure funding, grants, or sponsorships.

Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in marketing research, theory, and practice.
Collaborate with colleagues and students on research projects, fostering a culture of academic inquiry and collaboration.
Present research findings at conferences, seminars, and other academic events.

Academic Leadership and Service:
Actively participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic governance.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of the marketing curriculum.
Provide academic and career guidance to students, supervise student research projects, and serve as a thesis/dissertation advisor.
Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and research capabilities.
Participate in outreach activities, industry collaborations, and community engagement initiatives

Contribute to the overall growth and reputation of the academic institution through active involvement in promotional and recruitment activities.
Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations and contribute to cross-departmental initiatives.
Maintain strong professional networks within the marketing and academic communities.
Represent the institution and the marketing department at conferences, industry events, and professional organizations.


Salary:
₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month

Experience:
