Job Description:

Work closely with Technology colleagues on a Projects / Programs (Project Managers, Business Analysts, Operations Staff and others) and business stakeholders to create a Test Strategy to ensure required outcomes are achieved
Effective management of the testing team and their processes to ensure business requirements are always met. This includes setting up ways of working on Jira for day to day test management
Model best practice in your own delivery, acting as a role model for other members of the test team and partner test resources. This includes consistently exceeding the defined Testing KPIs in your own delivery and supporting more junior members in the same vein
Execute agreed test cases across System Test, System Integration Test (SIT), Performance Test and Load Test, verifying that the delivered functionality fully meets the defined functional and nonfunctional requirements (evidenced by documented test outcomes)
Work closely with customers, business analysts and developers to ensure effective test cases are created and then executed. This will include providing input on the definition of testable requirements and helping define the acceptance criteria
Track performance against quality assurance metrics such as defect counts, defect leakage, test coverage, possibly collating and analysing data for software delivery evaluation and improvement
Plan own workload and coordinate the work of the test team and test partner resources (both on and off shore)
Execute detailed test plans for projects and BAU deliveries
Create and maintain of both functional and nonfunctional test cases (post unit testing)
Assist in the planning, design and management of test data sets
Assist the planning and creation of appropriate automation tooling (e.g. test automation)
Adhere to operational technical procedures and policies
Take initiative to keep skills up to date
Accountable for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectives
Ensure the CAB process is adhered to and agreed processes are followed for the customers
Where appropriate, demonstrate the capabilities of a technical lead within projects and act as an SME for operational and project purposes
Delivery of factual, up to date test progress reports
Work with project managers, business analysts and the development team to plan and manage quality assurance processes throughout all delivery phases, to ensure all project milestones and quality objectives are met or exceeded
Identify and engage key collaborators in the agency to assist with the QA effort
Assist with the creation and maintenance of the quality strategy for your project
Create and maintain test cases / test scenarios against acceptance criteria of user stories
Create and present test summary reports to relevant stakeholders (internal and external)
Organise, oversee and perform testing sessions with the available internal and external resources
Manage defect with a bug tracking software such as JIRA and assist with bug prioritisation and triage process
Implement and maintain the test framework as well as automated test cases and test scripts
Create testing pipelines with a CI/CD tool that is integrated into the deployment process
Perform manual and automated testing
Learn and experiment with new testing tools & technologies on a regular basis
Contribute to the QA craft at Merkle by sharing knowledge and with your team and the agency
Assist with creation of training & testing documentation

Qualifications:

Excellent experience with performing automated & manual testing for functional (acceptance criteria, exploratory, scripted etc.) and nonfunctional requirements (accessibility, performance, security etc.)
Excellent experience with Salesforce testing
Salesforce Sales, Services, Energy and Utilities Cloud which will also include testing Billing solution, Integration solutions (e.g. Mulesoft) and Data testing.
Experience with creating test plans, test approaches and test strategies
API (Integration) testing knowledge with experienc
