    Reporting to the Head of Procurement MEAAP, this role requires an enthusiastic individual who will be responsible for building relationships with countries within their area of responsibility, as well as their teams, and working with the Head of Procurement Area to ensure that global, regional, and country objectives are met. The successful candidate should lead the strategic procurement process and support the development of tools to optimize the purchasing supply chain.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying critical requirements of key business stakeholders and delivering commercial services to meet their expectations effectively.
  • Ensuring maximum value is derived from all third-party spend within the portfolio by developing and implementing material group strategies across all areas of spend, including tools and processes.
  • Implementing procurement sourcing strategies (demand, supplier, process, portfolio management) in line with strategic sourcing and material group management processes, which include:Identifying internal customer needsBuilding and benchmarking Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modelsExecuting global & area procurement strategiesArranging testing/piloting of new technologies and alternative suppliers.
  • Managing the existing supply base by:Maintaining spend data in systems and ensuring accuracy.Managing contractsConducting supply risk managementMonitoring supplier performance, developing suppliers, and resolving issues.Exploring opportunities for supplier contribution to innovation.
  • Leading negotiations by:Collecting all necessary information to prepare for negotiations.Developing and defining negotiation strategiesFormalizing contractsCommunicating and rolling out contracts.
  • Communicating procurement topics to internal partners such as Managing Directors, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.
  • Supporting process optimization activities within the procurement function.
  • Providing guidance on procurement management matters to the country team.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Finance, and/or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar position.
  • Dynamic and agile individual capable of working in a future-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management approaches and process know-how.
  • Technical orientation with a solid understanding of steel materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving.
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Capacity to handle multitasking and work under pressure in a flexible manner.
  • Willingness to travel and be mobile.
