Designing and governing data platforms, products and services for user consumption across several user personas (Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts)
Worked with various data modelling tools such as Erwin or any other similar tools
Knowledge of complex data structures and the ability enhance the data to be integrated across the business
Conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modelling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data
Knowledge of marketing technologies such as Adobe Experience Cloud and Pega
Knowledge about Collibra and meta data tools would be advantageable
Effective communicator: Stays up to date with business trends and is recognized as a Business SME and informs about issues/new developments that relate to the strategy
Strong Data Architecture experience.
Experience with cloud technologies, GCP (preferred) and AWS.
Experience in Data modelling/Data warehouse modernization/Cloud based data lakes
Experience with Google data services (BigQuery, BigTable, Dataproc, Dataflow, Airflow or Cloud composerDAG, Cloud SQL, Cloud spanner, etc).
Experience with Big Data technologies: Spark, Kafka
Hands on experience in migrating the onpremises data pipelines and Datawarehouse to Google Cloud Platform
Analytical and design skills around the full endtoend ETL life cycle of data pipelines in large enterprise settings
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the Consumer Architecture and Enterprise Architecture team on the creation and governing of the conceptual architecture that addresses the high-level business requirements which are required for building Data and AI products and as well as aligned with good engineering principles.

Partner with domain leaders and IT business partners to drive data platform and data product adoption in our business

Define cloud data platform data products and usage patterns across data solutions e.g. Data Science Sandbox, Marketing technology, ETLs, APIs, integration etc.
Collaboratively develop platform product principles (e.g., ETL, etc.) and validate solutions architecture for adherence to principle and standards.
Evaluate and identify specifications, best practices, integration and proper use of cloud services as they relate to overall data platform and marketing technology
Lead standardsetting and architecture and ensures successful evolution and adherence to these within project

- and low-level designs & documentation for end-to-end GCP data solutions (storage, integration, processing, access)

Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/nonfunctional business requirements.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with datarelated technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
Design, coordinate and execute pilots, prototypes or proof of concepts, provide validation on specific scenarios and provide deployment guidance
Identify, scope and participate in the design and delivery of cloud data platform solutions, data storage, movement and orchestration solutions utilising GCP
Design and execute a platform modernisation approach for customers' data environments
Collaborate and share best practices/insights with engineering colleagues and the architect community
Articulate communication skills to explain complex solutions to external or internal customers in a clear and concise manner, aligned with the ability to adjust style to a varied audience within an organisation.
