Company: LTTSAn Architect / Sr Architect is primarily responsible for the following:
Mandatory Skills to have
Generating the hardware requirements, based on telecom and data center customer needs along with other constraints such as cost and schedule.
Experience leading the development of
Intel x86 or ARM based servers used in telecom or enterprise environments
Knowledge of Ethernet NICs, CPU selection / optimization, storage and memory technologies
Ensure that the set of highlevel requirements is consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined.
Performing costbenefit analyses to determine the best methods or approaches for meeting the hardware requirements; making maximum use of commercial offtheshelf or already developed components.
Developing partitioning algorithms (and other processes) to allocate current and future requirements into discrete hardware partitions including ASICs, FPGAs.
Partitioning large hardware systems into (successive layers of subsystems and components each of which can be handled by a single hardware engineer or team of engineers.
Experience that maximally robust hardware architecture is developed by working closely with Contract Manufacturer (CM)

Highly recommended to have

FPGA design experience

Verilog or VHDL
Experience working with mechanical engineering teams to provide inputs for thermal design, review simulation results
Experience designing routers and switches using Broadcom or Marvell Silicon
Working experience in the datacenter infrastructure setup, configuration, validation and deployment is highly desirable.

Desirable to have

Hands on experience dealing with HW setup, configuration, bootloader/Firmware, Linux BSP and SDK and Knowledge of ATCA, IPMI highly desirable.
Knowledge on Open Network Linux, ONOS, Open switch Specification and Open Compute Server architecture is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Cumulus Linux for switches (OS installation, licensing, and port configuration) and CoreOS for servers is desirable.
Working Experience in testing Linux network device drivers, physical device drivers and hardware integration.
Knowledge on source control management and system configurations and operations.
Experience or knowledge on IPMC or IPMI.
