As an
Insurance Operations in an insurance field, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational activities within the company.

Your primary goal will be to ensure smooth and efficient operations, improve processes, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with various teams, including underwriting, claims, customer service, and IT to achieve operational excellence and meet company objectives.


Responsibilities:


  • Operations Management: Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency. Streamline processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity and costeffectiveness.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and provide guidance to a team of operations staff. Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and training as needed. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and individual growth.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process automation and technological advancements to enhance operational effectiveness. Work closely with the IT department to implement system enhancements and ensure seamless integration of technology into operations.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Implement controls and measures to safeguard data security and privacy.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality standards for operational processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify any discrepancies.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors, such as software providers and service partners. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and monitor service levels to ensure delivery of highquality services.
  • Customer Service: Collaborate with the customer service department to address customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations. Continuously monitor and improve customer service processes to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on operational performance, key metrics, and trends. Analyse data to identify areas of improvement, address operational challenges, and make datadriven decisions.

Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational excellence.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as senior management, underwriters, claims adjusters, and actuaries, to align operational activities with business objectives. Provide updates on operational initiatives and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience 5+ years in operations management, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of insurance operations, processes, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Sound understanding of process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Microsoft Excel or business intelligence software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of insurance software systems and technology trends is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with international regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the insurance sector.
