Responsibilities:


  • Perform thorough inspections of raw materials, including steel and metal alloys, to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct inprocess inspections at various stages of the forging process, including forging, heat treatment, and finishing, to identify any defects or nonconformities.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerances of forged components.
  • Perform visual inspections to identify surface defects, cracks, or imperfections in the forged parts.
  • Document inspection results, nonconformities, and corrective actions taken in accordance with established quality procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and reduce defects.
  • Conduct final inspections on finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards before shipment.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration accuracy to support accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality control/inspection is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in the steel and metal forging industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of metalworking processes, including forging, heat treatment, and machining.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments and gauges to perform accurate dimensional inspections.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or nonconformities in forged components.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate inspection findings and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to addressing quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
