Job Description -
Manufacturer of Medical Instruments require a person who knows about VMC Programming and Operation.

Min. 2 years of experience is required in VMC programming and operation.

*Machine Operator should have the ability to programme (on SOLIDCAM/DELCAM/AUTOCAD or on Controller Directly), operate, monitor machine functions, and can maintain the machine.

The programmer is responsible for creating and modifying CNC programs that control the VMC's operations. This involves using software like CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) to generate toolpaths, specify cutting parameters, and select appropriate cutting tools.

Selecting the right cutting tools, toolholders, and work holding fixtures based on the job requirements. This includes considering factors like material type, part geometry, and the desired surface finish.

Designing and setting up the workpiece on the VMC's table or work holding device. This may involve creating custom fixtures and ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping.

Responsibilities and Duties

Programming:

Can Program and operate VMC. Develop and optimize CNC programs for VMC machines using CAD/CAM software. Thorough understanding of programming and coding required to operate. Can make and understand drawings on Solid works and AutoCAD (preferably)

Tool path Optimization:

Maximize machining efficiency and minimize cycle times through effective tool path strategies.

Tool Selection:

Understanding of required fixtures, tools and inserts required for operations on VMC. Select appropriate cutting tools and tool holders for each job.

Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with quality control to ensure components meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

Machine Setup Support:

Assist in machine setup, including tool loading and calibration, to ensure program accuracy. Expected to operate VMC on daily basis and complete required operations that are to be done on components.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, tooling, and setup instructions.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve programming and machining issues to minimize downtime.

Training:

Provide training and guidance to VMC Operators as needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CNC Programmer for VMC machines.
Proficiency in any cam software for CNC programming. Dell cam (Power Mill) added advantage
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent problemsolving skills.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
