Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.


GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products.

The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions.

The CIB Earnings & Competitor Analysis Team within the P&A group: (a) manages the preparation of quarterly earnings materials and documents with respect to the CIB's results; (b) partners with Investor Relations to support executive management meetings with external investors/analysts; (c) collaborates with partner teams on Investor Day; (d) drives thought leadership in competitive intelligence; and (e) ensures the accuracy of select regulatory filings.


Roles & Responsibilities of the Associate on the team include, but are not limited to:

  • Partnering with CIB and Corporate teams to structure and draft earnings documents
  • Supporting and driving the competitor intelligence agenda including summarizing competitor strategic commentary and industry performance for a broad audience including executive management
  • Developing talking points and other supporting information for industry conferences and senior management meetings with external investors/analysts
  • Liaising with LOB teams/functions (Investor Relations, Corporate P&A, LOB P&A, etc.) for monthly reporting and adhoc analyses
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to support JPMC's annual investor day presentation
  • Assisting with validating CIB sections in the 10K/Q in partnership with SEC reporting as well as the Annual Proxy Statement and CEO letters
  • Participating in the Control and Governance agenda for deliverables including internal audits and RCSA

Qualifications

  • 46 years of experience in the financial services industry with a toptier bank, preferably in a CIBequivalent line of business or equity/credit research with focus on financials
  • Strong understanding of and ability to analyze financial statements and data for J.P. Morgan and its peer financial institutions
  • Working knowledge of CIB products and the financial market, with the ability to grasp technical details. Progress toward CFA a plus.
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Strong MS Office skills (primarily Excel/PowerPoint)
