    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, implement, and maintain MongoDB databases according to best practices.
    • Perform performance tuning and optimization to ensure efficient database operations.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues to maintain system uptime and data integrity.
    • Implement robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and business continuity.
    • Manage MongoDB sharding and replication for scalability and high availability.
    • Enforce strict database security measures to protect sensitive data.
    • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., shell scripting, Python).
    • Monitor database performance and capacity to identify and address potential issues proactively.
    • Collaborate with development teams to understand data needs and optimize database queries.
    • Document database schema, configuration, and procedures for future reference.

    Technical Skills :

    • Proven experience in MongoDB database administration (3+ years).
    • Strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, including storage engines, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
    • Experience with performance tuning techniques (e.g., explain plans, indexes, caching).
    • Proficiency in MongoDB backup and recovery solutions (e.g., mongodump, mongorestore).
    • Experience with MongoDB sharding and replication configurations.
    • Solid understanding of database security principles (e.g., user authentication, access control, encryption).
    • Experience in scripting languages like shell scripting or Python for automating database tasks.
    • Familiarity with SQL and other database technologies (a plus).
