Job Purpose and Impact

The Advisory Solutions Supervisor will meet requirements for sensitive customs data that comply with applicable government laws and regulations.

In this role, you will lead a country team that performs customs activities such as data collection, classification, origin declaration or global trade services legal control release.

You will work closely with other global trade compliance team members to handle escalation issues, analyze data to deliver required insights, manage client and vendor interactions and implement projects.

Key Accountabilities

Foster working relationships with stakeholders and oversee client and vendor interactions to deliver high quality service.
Support projects associated with customs data and implement regulatory requirements.

Drive the implementation and maintenance of processes with a focus on process improvement to enhance performance, reduce execution costs and increase efficiencies.

Use technical knowledge of customs compliance to review data and provide insights to business, operations and functional partners.
Develop guidelines, tools, templates and instruction to identify compliant customs data.
Other duties as assigned
Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Understanding of customs regulations and programs
Minimum one year of directly related work experience
Certified customs specialist or equivalent
Knowledge of classification and origin determination
One year of supervisory experience
