    Role & responsibilities

    Financial Controller - Profile
    1. Education:
    o Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related
    field is usually required. Some organizations may prefer candidates with a
    masters degree in a relevant discipline.
    o Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified
    Management Accountant (CMA), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are highly
    valued and may be required or preferred by some employers.

    2. Relevant Experience:
    o Proven experience in a financial management role, such as Financial Controller,
    Assistant Controller, or Finance Manager, is typically required. The number of
    years of experience may vary depending on the organization's size and
    complexity.
    o Experience in the specific industry or sector, such as automotive, manufacturing,
    retail, or services, is often preferred as it demonstrates familiarity with industry-
    specific challenges and regulations.

    3. Financial Expertise:
    o In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and regulations
    (e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, International Financial Reporting
    Standards) is essential.
    o Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial
    modeling.
    o Experience with financial reporting, including the preparation of financial
    statements, consolidation, and financial controls.

    4. Leadership and Management Skills:
    o Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, including providing guidance,
    mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
    o Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet
    deadlines.
    o Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
    5. Technical Skills:
    o Proficiency in financial management software and enterprise resource planning
    (ERP) systems. Experience with popular systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft
    Dynamics is beneficial.
    o Advanced skills in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) for financial
    analysis, modeling, and data manipulation.
    6. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
    o Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with
    stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, department
    heads, and staff.
    o Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
    o Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional
    teams, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
