Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Geographic Information System Expert located in Guwahati. As a Geographic Information System Expert, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geographic information in order to create maps and databases. You will also work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement GIS solutions to support various projects and initiatives with Arc GiS and Open Source.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, or a related field
• Proficiency in GIS software, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of cartographic principles and spatial analysis techniques
• Experience with data collection, management, and manipulation
• Ability to interpret and analyze spatial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience with programming languages, such as Python or R, is a plus
