We are seeking a privacy professional to join the LSEG Global Privacy Office, whose responsibility will be to lead a team of analysts to assist the Privacy Office in providing privacy advice, handle the privacy rights requests, identify and operationalize global regulatory changes and on various global and regional projects related to the implementation and governance our privacy framework.


The focus will be on the evolving privacy and data protection landscape to support its businesses which operate across 190 countries.

In this role, you'll be assisting a global business on analysing and resolving sophisticated privacy issues, helping to build a strong compliance programme, and advancing our business as we drive progress for the entire financial community.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • This role reports to the Data Protection Officer & Privacy Compliance Director who in turn reports to the Global Head of Privacy.
  • The role is to nurture effective privacy management within LSEG, develop, implement, support and guide on our global Privacy Programme, globally.
  • Provide advice and support to colleagues in the wider Privacy team in EMEA, Asia and Americas regions on data privacy matters, and assist in handling a wide range of privacyrelated issues whether internal (eg innovation and product development), customer or vendor facing.
  • Build a data orientated Centre of Excellence to focus on specialist areas including highend data analytics/insights, data innovation capability, data and service sourcing, education and talent development.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues to develop strong working relationships with key collaborators within the business, legal and compliance, and information security functions to promote privacy compliance.
  • Reviewing and responding to queries received in the privacy inboxes, both internal and external.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of records of processing activities (RoPA).
  • Support business teams and legal colleagues with privacy issues.
  • Participate in internal meetings, client meetings, and industry events.
  • Analyse data breach notification obligations and actions including leading or assisting with data incident management, including breach notifications as may be required.
  • Share responsibility for the relevant developments, new laws, regulations and industry codes and provide relevant analysis to colleagues and other critical partners throughout the business.
  • Assist with assurance activities by collaborating with other Compliance functions.
  • Assist with policy and process development and reviews to ensure compliance with data privacy obligations across jurisdictions.
  • Assist with internal process changes sought at improving the Privacy function.
  • Assess and provide pragmatic advice on the mitigation of data risks in new and changing products and services including those risks generated by transborder data flows and any additional requirements under local privacy law(s), through Data Privacy Impact Assessments and Privacy by Default/ Design requirements
