As a Sports Writer, you will play a crucial role in providing engaging and informative content related to various sports, primarily focusing on cricket, for our websites.

Freshers with a strong passion for sports and excellent writing skills are encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities:

Produce high-quality, accurate, and engaging sports articles and blog posts related to cricket and other sports as assigned.

Research and stay up-to-date with the latest sports news, trends, and events.

Generate creative ideas and pitches for sports content, including match previews, analysis, player profiles, and opinion pieces.

Collaborate with the editorial team to develop compelling content strategies and meet content deadlines.

Conduct interviews with players, coaches, and experts to gather insights and quotes for articles.

Optimize articles for SEO by incorporating relevant keywords and meta descriptions.

Ensure all content follows the website's style guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and voice.

Engage with readers and respond to comments and queries on published articles.

Monitor analytics and metrics to track the performance and impact of published content.

Stay updated with the latest developments in the sports industry and share relevant information with the team.


Requirements:

Strong passion for sports, especially cricket, and a good understanding of the rules, players, and teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to write in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.

Basic knowledge of SEO principles and the ability to optimize content for search engines.

Ability to conduct research and gather information from reliable sources.

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and online publishing platforms.

Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines.
