Job Purpose :

Plan, design and implement the Safety Systems of Belur Works to ensure uninterrupted productivity and create a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

ACCIDENT PREVENTION & INVESTIGATION Review, Analyze and Recommend safety practices with regard to machinery (old and new)
Initiate HIRA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment) for machines and equipment. Advise the concerned departments on the usage. 3.Investigate causes on dangerous occurrences and reportable accidents.
AUDIT Inspect Identify and Monitor Unsafe conditions and practices in the plant
Carry out Safety observations at frequent intervals. Advise and Assist on the abnormal practices for correction. Check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action plan. Check the usage of personal protective equipment for all levels in the organization.
TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE AWARENESS Assess, design and conduct training programs to increase the safety awareness of employees Assess the safety requirements of various functions. Design training modules on Behavioral Safety.

Conduct for all the employees.
Organize campaigns, competitions, contests and other activities to develop and improve employee morale.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS Implementation and monitoring the management systems to ensure zero deviation .Carry out OHSAS internal audits within the plant. To maintain copies of all the documents of ISO 9001, 14000, OHSAS18000 for Personnel and other departments. To amend necessary changes in documents, procedure and others as required. Monitor closure and take corrective action for all the NCR's during external or internal audits.
MIS AND STATUTORY COMPLIANCES Develop and Present Plant Performance Data and requirements to internal and external stakeholders
Collate Plant Performance Data (Safety) and present it. 2.Implement for statutory compliances in relation to Factories Act, ESI, Explosive and other related acts. 3. To maintain liaison with the Directorate of Factory, Fire Services, local authorities and other organizations engaged in the promotion or industrial safety.
Monitoring & Control on discharge of liquid effluent and emission of gaseous effluent from Belur plant.
Managing environmental processes within plant to assure proper hazardous waste management and controlling on ground water consumption.
Coordinate with Corporate for plant s environmental performance & MIS.

Qualifications:

Diploma,Post Diploma-Industrial Safety,Graduate Diploma

Minimum Experience Level:

10-15 Years
