Responsibilities for purchasing manager

Manage selection rooms within communities to ensure proper products are shown and are presentable for customers
Train suppliers in the use of all materials management software
Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues, delivery, and packaging methods that impact on time delivery or inventory turns by facilitating communication between Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Product Development and Purchasing
Set up Sku's and work closely with Product Development team on costing
Support Director of Manufacturing with product specifications on new frame development (pricing, vendor selection)
Support Controller with monthend close, inventory control
Deals with all levels of suppliers with focus on dealing with middle and high level supplier representative in strategic sourcing planning
Deals with all levels of stakeholders and maintains good working relationship with senior executives
Develops comprehensive category strategies that document end to end sourcing approaches, solution development, supplier selection, cost performance/gaps, quality performance/gaps, logistics solutions with clear technology roadmaps, and technical evaluation
Support the team and manage stakeholders' relationships
