The primary responsibility for this role is to

mostly

  • REST API based Identify
  • Test gaps and write test cases
  • Automate test cases and include in regression runs
  • Triage results and open defects for issues

How you will do it

  • Develop and execute test procedures and test cases for new and/or existing products
  • Design, develop and perform regression testing techniques and procedures to ensure product changes and features have been implemented successfully
  • Generate comprehensive defect reports using defect tracking tools and liaise with software development
  • Report project status, concerns, and risks within the project to the project lead tester
  • Participate in periodic software and overall system design reviews
  • Review defect tracking reports and change their statuses accordingly
  • Attend defect tracking review meetings (CCB) and provide insight on defect reports and possible resolutions
  • Assist in the reviewing of engineering field trial and marketing field trial issues for ongoing projects
  • Work with compliance and approvals to resolve any issues or concerns when testing and evaluating new and/or existing products
  • Assist the Systems Integration group with evaluating plausible causes for field issues
  • Able to multitask to support different projects
  • Share knowledge with team and demonstrate team spirit

What we look for

  • Fundamental understanding and handson experience with Python 3, REST API design, PyQT, PyTest, Linux OS, Django, Flask
  • Must have have hands on experience in Selenium/ GUI Automation tool.
  • At least one of the foillowing
  • Storage/Virtualization/Backup Restore
  • Familiarity with Containers, Kubernetes, GCP / AWS / Azure
  • Experience in developing test plan and identifying test scenarios and test cases
  • Experience in manual testing
  • Experience in system, functional, regression, performance, smoke, and integration testing
  • Handson experience in working with Software Testing Life Cycle and defect life cycle management
  • Good understanding and analysis of Application Requirements
  • Experience in Test Planning, test design and test execution
  • Experience in generating Test Reports and conducting postmortem reviews
  • Good to have experience in Defect Management tool JIRA
  • Good to have experience of Agile methodologies
  • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with detail as well as with general assignments
  • Experience with unit testing and automation
  • Good Communication Skills, Communicate with Impact
  • Customer relation development, Wins with Customers
  • Minimum 5 years of system level product test automation experience in realtime environment

Qualification:

**B.E/B.Tech - CS/IT/ECE/EE, MCA, MTech/M.E (CS/IT)
