International Sales Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Job Overview:
As an International Sales SME, you will play a pivotal role in driving and supporting the sales initiatives of our organization on a global scale.
This position requires a deep understanding of international sales processes, market dynamics, and a proven track record of successful sales execution.
The International Sales SME will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide expertise in international markets, and contribute to the development and implementation of effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
International Market Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of international markets to identify new opportunities and trends.
Evaluate competitive landscapes and customer behaviors in various regions to inform strategic decision-making.
Sales Strategy Development:
Collaborate with the sales leadership team to develop and refine international sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
Provide insights into pricing, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies for specific regions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with product development, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment and coherence in international sales efforts.
Provide guidance on product localization, marketing campaigns, and customer support tailored to international markets.
Sales Training and Development:
Conduct training sessions for the sales team on international market dynamics, cultural nuances, and effective sales techniques.
Support the onboarding process for new international sales team members.
Client Relationship Management:
Act as a point of contact for key international clients, understanding their needs and ensuring effective communication between the client and the sales team.
Foster long-term relationships with clients to drive customer retention and loyalty.Performance Analysis and Reporting:
Develop and maintain metrics to assess the performance of international sales efforts.
Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending adjustments to strategies as needed.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
Ensure that the sales team operates within legal and regulatory frameworks in all targeted regions.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in international sales processes and contribute to the development and implementation of solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in international sales with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
- Indepth knowledge of global markets, cultural differences, and international business practices.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
