GFI is seeking a Trade Execution Executive to join our team on a contract basis out of Delhi NCR.As a Trade Execution Executive, you will play a critical role in coordinating and planning import and export processes, customs documentation and shipping and receiving of foreign merchandise to ensure it arrives on time.
Reporting to the Trade & Operations Manager, you will participate in end to end contract execution (Sale and Purchase) and complete monetary transactions associated with the export and import in a timely manner.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee operations/execution from contract preparation/signing, LCs/Documentary Instructions, monitor container loading and discharging operations, shipping documents, payment follow up and lay time calculation. Ensure contract execution is in line with the terms of the contracts, LCs and tenders.
- Maintaining accurate records of all transactions, shipments and consignments. Identify and highlight possible issues and disputes and work with the traders/Business head for timely resolution.
- Reconcile data for inventory, warehouse transfers, loading orders, quality, claims, demurrage and detention cases.
- Reconcile trader's spreadsheet and contracts filed in system for contracts allocated.
- Maintain and foster established relationships with all accounts, customers, clients, suppliers and other business partners.
- Collaborate with external authorities to verify and comply with all customs requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations.
- Prepare, review, approve and maintain files for import and export documents.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Perform Month End Checks for Team and ensure accounting queries are resolved within the agreed deadline.
- Regular Payment follow up and coordinating with GFI North America office vendors/suppliers. As an independent role, also need to collaborate properly with Department Heads and GFI Head office in Ontario, Toronto
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate / Postgraduate with relevant experience in international trade execution, shipping & logistics and documentation.
- Wellversed in shipping operations for both bulk and container movements.
- Knowledge about Incoterms.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Should be able to shadow Canada timings and be flexible for supporting other time zones when required.
- Planning and organizing Problem solving and decision making.
- Customer service orientation and Customer relationship management skills.
- Continuous improvement and result driven.
- Influencing skills, Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
